We found our way to the train station and boarded a high speed train to Florence for the day. It was a fast trip and we arrived in about 35 minutes. We had a few goals for the day:
- Mercato Centrale (check)
- Don Nino’s (check)
- Basilica San Lorenzo (check)
- Domo (check)
- Leonardo DaVinci Musuem (missed it)
- Christmas Market (check)
- Eataly (check)
- Leather shopping! (Check)
- Aimless wandering (check)
Mercato Centrale
We missed this on our last trip because we didn’t even know about it. The lower floor is a market and the upper floor is an overwhelming experience of gastronomical delights. We wandered through both floors and finished with some bruschetta, arancini with ragu inside and of course a refreshing beverage🍷🍺

Basilica San Lorenzo

The later it got, the more Florence came alive! Each street had unique lighting!

Ahhh Firenze! So much life!
