Day 11: It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas – Colmar

Ok we are at the epicentre of the Christmas asteroid impact.

The buildings are all from the 1600s!

Clearly we have a lot of people chasing Rudolph. Imma jump ahead about 6 hours to show a good contrasts.

Here’s a view from our balcony. This is 9a, and the crowds build from there…

Feels like Mardi Gras on Bourbon Street.
Doomstairs to the street

There are hundreds of unique bread and chocolate vendors all along the street… Check out this…. avocado? We got more, coming home with us!

Green Marzipan, hazelnut, crunchy shell

We churned through an Alsatian wine tasting in an off the main path family owned hotel and winery, downing 8 pours of Cremant, Gwersteminer, Muscat, and Pinot noir.

We ran into Jesus a couple it times, Santa a couple of times. Neither recognized us 😔

Looks like Joseph need to step up his game. #goldbeatsold #friendzoned
Sighted: Spectrum Santa and his helper elf
Ok idk what this chewey, fluffy, incredible stuff is, but it
Is
Amazing.
Indoor market, Christmassed up, but mostly with standard things like veggies, cheese, and food stalls.

Here’s my lovely wife at la Petit Venice
