Day 17: Au revoir and hallo

Winding down on our last full day in Europe. Today we head up to Frankfurt Germany to catch our flight home tomorrow.

Kugelhopf- the Alsatian tradition. Had to try one before we left.
On our way to Frankfurt via an early morning train.

15 minute walk in the rain from the bahnhoff in Frankfurt and we were in front of our last hotel of the trip.

Woot fan-say

Checked in early, freshened up, and grabbed lunch in the hotel bar.

New thing: 🐒 Monkey 47 gin and Thomas Henry tonic

After a nap, we checked out the last Christmas market of the tour… A 10 minute walk brought us past what looked like some olden timey buildings, buuut they weren’t. Seems this city got punched back into the stone age about 80 years ago.

Yeah… New
New

Ahoy, the market!

The market was big, showed across 4 streets
Who doesn’t like meat on a wheel!!?!?
Who doesn’t like a billion crispy frites!?!?

Understand what that pic really is

That’s a pile o’fries
Salmon basking in the warmth of a fire
Another “olde Towne moment”
2 layers!
Ropes of licorice?
What a tree!
Across the Rhine
Toward our hotel… In the rain
Cheryl asking Santa for gifts?

We wrapped up the evening, and turned in early.
